    Windows 10 Lost Features

I'm not using Windows 10 at the moment. But I did test it out on the Windows 10 Beta build last year when it first came out. Both Windows Movie Maker 2.6 and Movie Maker 6 worked on 10 and so did Windows Live movie Maker. So it should still work on 10. I used the 32 bit version BTW. You can...

Windows 8 How To Extract Icons From 16 Bit software On Windows 8.

I think that the 16 bit icons are there but for some reason Windows 7 and Windows 8 cannot display them and it's the same problem with Windows Vista. I don't know why that is as on Windows XP and older versions of Windows they display find but not on any later versions. {I have tried other icon...

    Windows 10 Lost Features

Yep, I noticed that. The annoying music. But when I tried to patch the games it did not work, so it could be WD blocking it. The games from Windows XP work on Windows and they should work on 10. I prefer the original XP version of Solitaire an the other games to the Windows 7 ones anyway.

    Windows 10 Lost Features

Yes it's true that the Windows 7 games won't work at all on Windows 8 or Windows 10. Unless you use the Windows 7 Games Patcher. Which you can get from My Digital Life Forums. The problem is that both MSE and Windows Defender flags it as malware and won't let you run it. Though t Windows XP...

    Windows 10 Lost Features

Well I have decided not to use Windows 10, so I am still using Windows 7. I also use Windows sometimes and that suits me just fine. You can also use Windows Vista which is supported for another 18 months that also works well on my netbooks. One of the many reasons I have not upgraded to Windows...

    Windows 10 Cracked Laptop Screen

If the glass is cracked then it needs to be replaced. So you need to take your computer to a repair shop who will do this for you. Or it could be some other problem that needs fixing. I had the same problem 2 years ago when I got a red screen. It turned out my glass screen was damaged but the...

Windows 7 How would you rate Windows 7

Oh now I understand what you were saying. Yes I have had the same problem when I go onto some websites I get these pop ups with adverts. Then when I try to close the pop up the adverts reappear. I think it's some kind of adware of a virus. I have since installed Microsoft Security Essentials...

Windows 7 How would you rate Windows 7

What Adds? There are no Adds on Windows 8 or Windows 7 and you can use a local account on Windows 8. To do this you simply skip where it says connect to your network.Windows will then set up a local account. Then once your account is set up you can connect to your network afterwards, that's...

Windows 7 How would you rate Windows 7

I am using Windows Server 2008 which is based on Windows Vista but is a lighter version of it. As you can see it has the same look as Vista but runs better than Vista because it is not so bloated. I plan to use Windows 7 and 8 for as long as I can.I have no plans whatsoever to upgrade to...

Windows 10 No Way To Change Network Settings From Public To Private On Windows 10.

Well a lot has changed since I used that version of Windows 10 which was only a Beta version. I don't have Windows 10 now as I have decided to stick with Windows 7 and 8 for the time being. But I did download the Evaluation Enterprise version or build of 10 from the Microsoft website. Which is a...

Windows 7 Will Windows 7 Life Cycle Be Extended?

Windows 7 is supported until 2020 when all updates will stop. So you can use it for another 5 years if you want. After that no more updates as with Windows XP.

    Windows 10 Replacement Cycle

I am still using Windows 7 as my main OS and I intend on doing so for as longs as I can. Support for W7 runs for another 5 years until 2020, which is a long time yet. I was using Windows XP until MS dropped support for that last year. I see no reason to upgrade to Windows 10 at the moment.

Windows 7 MSN Gaming Zone From Windows XP On Windows 7.

Yes that's true. XP is no longer supported so you should not be using it now. But I have found that most of the Windows XP programs will run on Windows 7. So you can copy the software you like over from XP onto Windows 7 and 8. You can even run software from older versions of Windows such as...

Windows 7 How would you rate Windows 7

When I bought my Windows 7 full install DVD it already came with Service Pack 1 so I did not have to install it. As far as I know all Windows 7 installation CD's come with both Service Pack 1 as well as a 32 and 64 bit CD in the pack along with the product key.

Windows 8 How To Extract Icons From 16 Bit software On Windows 8.

As you know when you run a 16 bit program such as Windows 3.1 games on Windows Vista,7 or 8, it does not display the icon. This is because support for 16 bit icon display has been removed from Windows Vista onwards. So you have to choose one of the icons in the "Shell32.dill" folder. But there...
