A friend of mine who's an IT tech for a company in NY, just told me to update the bios....but I dont know....im always sketchy about updating bios on any computer.

Just finished running the scans. It only highlights a file called "gathernetworkinfo.vbs"

I'm going to try the autoruns right now. To answer your question, No the message doesn't describe anything else other than the "table(s)".

I just did the clean boot but I still have the fatal error message.

Changed the hard drive and installed windows 7 professional. Win 7 installed without a problem and pc didn't give me a problem neither. Suddenly the fatal message came back. I noticed that the "fatal error" message appeared only after I updated the sound and graphics driver. The pc still works...

I think windows 7 is the last "user friendly" operating system. Windows 8 belongs on a tablet so it should stay on a tablet. Its ridiculous everything that has to get done just to shut down the windows 8. My wife also hates that OS.
