Now that I think about it - it's amazing how the big sellers (Norton etc) don't bother developing new product - how long has W7 been available for testing by developers? I remember I used to use ZoneAlarm until Vista - even 3 months after the release of the RETAIL Vista it still crashed.
W7 is my main OS right now, with OS X (hackintosh) on a separate hard drive. My C drive is imaged on an external drive and all my data is on two mirrored external drives - and the really important stuff has an offsite backup. I'll just keep a note of any new software I install and when I get rid...
I got the same blue screen with n360 so I restored my vista, removed n360, installed AVG and reinstalled W7. That blew away half my day - but at least it works without blue screens ---- so far!
Hmm interesting. I didn't actually remove the __vmware_user__ login - I just did "net user __vmware_user__ /active:no". Maybe that was the cause of the problem - I should have left it alone!! Or done it Aaron Parker's way! Heh - or even checked the vmware website first :) Hi darco - well I...
I'm using 32bit. Everything worked fine in Vista. I need to run VMWare because I'm developing stuff for clients in XP . So I took the easy way out and went back to Vista. Pity, cos there's a lot of stuff I like in W7 :(
When I try to run either workstation or player I get the message The VMWare authorisation service is not running. When I check in computer management, services, it's set to Automatic but it won't start. I get an error "service-specific code 6000002" Anyone else get this? Anyone got past this?
