i didnt see file sharing under homegroup settings ...but i made a little headway..i turned off Homegroup on the laptop and just logged in normally through the network on the desktop now i can see my user....then i rejoined Homegroup and can still my user...hope it sticks Thanks

Hi, i recently notived that i cannot see my current logged in User on the network either in Homegroup or on the network itself. I can share other folders and files and see them but not my user...any ideas? Thanks

Thanks for the reply, Ive tried the "repair" option but i get nothing to repair...meaning after i press repair nothing shoes up up in the repair screen to repair.
