I had the same problem with a HP DV2500.........The problem was the ALPS touchpad driver located on the HP support page. Strangely the touchpad worked properly, but after being idle for a few minutes the puter locked up. I'm waiting for an updated driver from HP or ALPS Hope this helps!

I don't know if this will solve your problem, but it has solved mine! Use a Win 98 boot disk......fdisk, delete partitions, format partitions then shut down system with your recovery disk(s) in the drive. Start the puter and follow the prompts. You might have to go to the bios and change...

I have never had a trojan, virus, etc. I've run every OS since 3.1. I have an Acer 5515, running free AVG 8.5 and it is up to date. I picked up ALL of these in the past week The scan took 2hrs and 48 minutes to complete. Some of the trojans were duplicates. Please tell me how to access...

Thanks Mike! It's a notebook....touchpad & keyboard.......updates are automatic. I close the lid for the night and it goes into sleep mode. Doesn't happen unless it sleeps along time (probably a coma) ......Its not really that important.....just curious Dan
