I have a re-post to my original problem and i would like to say that first off - I went and updated the bios for the EVGA board and the chipset drivers, after that everything seems to be operating smoothly with no freezing, if anyone has any questions just let me know.

You know, i should of thought about doing this to begin with, i installed them manually, restarted, and rechecked and all systems are go. Thank you for the information :)

ok i am having similar problems with mine, which is windows 7 pro 64-bit, only; it dont matter what program, application, game or whatever im in, when it freezes, it takes about 5-20 seconds before it resumes what it is doing, meanwhile; i can still click on anything else in the taskbar while it...

Just a thought, i haven't seen a situation like this but i've heard that some windows themes tend to cause a few issues try going and changing your theme settings and see if that helps best of luck.
