hitting f8 does't works. this error comes immediately after VAIO logo appears and nothing happens on hitting F8

i was trying to recover my system by pressing F10 key (VAIO recovery system) as soon as it began i cancelled it out. now when i start my laptop it says no operating system can be found immediately after the logo of VAIO appears.... how can i get it of this problem (My DVD rom is also not working)
