When I launch things like PDF files from a desktop application, it opens in the tile application of Windows 8. How do I close it and do other functions, like print and save, that I can do with the old desktop version?

When I try to upload files; either in Yahoo, gmail, box and others. All I get is a spinning wheel and nothing happens. What do I need to do? I've gone to my none W8 systems and everything works.

How do I open a new text file as an administrator? I use to be able to right click on the text icon in the start menu and "open as administrator." More generically, is there a way to log in as the administrator? I'm the only one using this PC.

I have a Dell Windows 8 desktop unit. When I was setting it up I turned on WiFi until I could get the hardwire connection ready. I now want to turn off the wifi, but I can't figure it out. One place tells me to hold the function key and hit F2, but nothing happens. I don't know if nothing...
