I was also surprised that Avast continues to work perfectly with Windows 7 64 bit. At least...it seems to work perfectly. I sure hope that's right! :-)
I hate to give away my complete, utter noobiness, but could someone smarter than I am suggest what we're likely to want to do if our evaluations expire on 1 July and the release isn't shipping until August? :-)
If all you want is AIM with no advertising, the download AIM-Pro at Link Removed - Invalid URL That is a recommendation for non-beta Windows. :-) It seems to me that every iteration of AOL and AIM have all kinds of different problems with Windows7. Even if you think you've installed it...
I voted Firefox 3, but it's the 64-bit iteration called Minefield. It works just fine, but it's visibly slower than the MSIE that's packaged with 64-bit Win 7.
