As for extraneous programs I've installed: Firefox 3.5 (fresh, not and upgrade), Starcraft, Warcraft 3 (+TFT), iTunes, ID3-TagIt. The latter 2 I've installed since noticing WMP's appetite for CPU cycles -- so they're likely not the culprit. Everything else is a fresh, default Win7 (x86) install.- gogogadgetearl

Since using the Win7 Beta (and now the RC), I've noticed that "wmplayer.exe" will occasionally run in the background without being explicitly started by the user. This wasn't much of a problem, but I thought it was odd. Since installing the RC, however, WMP often (>50% of the time that I am on...- gogogadgetearl
