    Windows 7 HDD problems

Hdd I hate to ask this but before you switched this drive to USB did you check to make sure the power plug was secured and either the SATA or IDE connections were secure? In the BIOS try to redetect all drives. Also in the USB section make sure USB is enabled. Since I do not know what...

Windows 7 Need Help!- Graphics Card Not Detected

I am using the same card you have on my Win7 32 bit system. In your motherboard BIOS you need to configure the settings to detect the card and disable on board if you were using on board previously or check to see if the BIOS is seeing this card. Since I do not know what system you are using I...

Hp printers According the the HP Forum and their HP printers there is a notice that "HP printer drivers and software will be released in January 2010 and a special notice to use the Win7 default generic printer driver until then". Since HP posted this to their forum one would believe it was...

    Windows 7 Memory causing problems.

Newer motherboards have a 24 pin so some PS makers created adapter pins so their PS can accommodate both new and older boards. Now do not get them mixed up with the 12 volt connector 4 pin. Newer PS have 2 4 pin 12 volts adapters. The adapter for the MOBO PS usually has a detachable part if...

Windows 7 Drive Mapping Windows XP with Windows 7

On SUSE 11.2 you have to config the GRUB menu and it will dual boot Win7. It also could be due to Novell and Microsoft working together so SUSE Grub is changed compared to other Linux systems. I use SUSE because it contains a lot of programs I use without me having to search all over like with...

Windows 7 Drive Mapping Windows XP with Windows 7

Further update after fully checking each drive I notice that the bootmgr is on both drives and are exactly the same as far as I can tell. On XP it is not visible even with showing all hidden folders but it comes up if I do a search on drive D. The reason I feel that it is hidden is one cannot...

Windows 7 Hp Pinters and Windows 7

HP Printers My printer is one of the newer HP wireless printers so it is not just older models. On the HP forum it seems to be every model they make has no Win 7 drivers or software and just a statement to use Windows 7 generic printer driver and using that none of the features work except...

    Windows 7 Memory causing problems.

Power supply is one item you should not cheap out on. I use a Corsair TX750W or even their TX650 is worth it. Unless you build your own computers most companies cheap out on power supplies and their ratings are not very reliable. Fluctuation in power can destroy a motherboard, RAM and...

Drive Mapping and Windows 7 My problem last time was my motheboard went south 2 days after I installed W7 Pro so when I reinstalled it was considered another computer even though it had the exact same IP. But that is not the actual problem it is the mapping of drives when one installs Windows...

Windows 7 Drive Mapping Windows XP with Windows 7

I never noticed this until today when I went to add more space to the Windows 7 drive on my disk. Even though I had Windows XP and then installed Windows 7 my computer shows Windows 7 as Drive C and Windows XP as Drive D. I have no idea how this occurred since i presumed Windows 7 would auto...

    Windows 7 Search Features

I do not see a search function for this forum, is there one, or am I missing it? It would surely help as I notice a high amount of repeat problems. Most forums which I am a member have a search feature to cut down on repeat problems and solutions.

    Windows 7 Memory causing problems.

I did a stint with CISSP. Which course did you finish as there are quite a number of schools now. This is a widely open field and if you are certified and have some time under your belt you can practically name your job. Due to what I do I needed further experience to get licenses and permits...

Windows 7 Removed the drive with the boot manager, PC won't boot now

If that does not work post again and I will give you detailed Remove Windows XP from and dual-boot configs with Windows 7. When you removed the drive you removed the master boot record. The other area is the drive map which is most likely messed up now.

    Windows 7 Memory causing problems.

How about a little more data, ie, memory type, your motherboard. Is your BIOS set to see and read 4 gigs? Is it installed correctly? What does Vista show for memory? Is it all same memory? I would check the BIOS and the RAM clock settings to make sure they all correct.

Windows 7 Hp Pinters and Windows 7

Sorry about the misspelled word printer in topic heading but I cannot correct it. As posted on the HP Forum HP will not released drivers or new software for Windows 7 until January 2010 due to problems. They state to use the Windows 7 generic printer driver which will leave you with a lot of...
