I just did the "upgrade" as well. Had Windows 7 RC 32bit, booted from the upgrade disk and installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. No problems at all.

Does VLC or WinAmp let me stream to my Xbox360?

After some deep, deep googling I found that some people had problems with wmpnetwk.exe under vista. One post said that a "corrupt" .avi was causing prblems for him. I searched my fiels and found one .avi. Deleted it. Now all is well. Don't really know if that was the thing that fixed it or not.
