According to those instructions you can check in the BIOS/UEFI if virtualisation is enabled. What computer motherboard do you use? Could you take some screenshots of the BIOS/UEFI menu options and upload them here? There must be an option regarding virtualisation.

Sorry, my bad. Somehow I assumed you had more than 1 monitor and just wanted to test this one. Normally you need another monitor in order to test if the computer works. Otherwise how to check whether the monitor is defective or the graphics card on the computer or something else.

Whether it copies all of it again or not, in the end it will have the same size if nothing has changed and as far as I know Windows does not allow duplicate files and folders. Just try to create identical files or folders and see what happens.
