    This one I'm testing on, originally came with XP and was upgraded to 7 using the discs I'd previously used to upgrade a 64-bit desktop PC that was subsequently killed by a lightning surge or something (which, if repaired, would have been on its fourth motherboard -- I don't buy that brand anymore).

    I have to admit I'm glad that the previews at least are available in 32-bit. The only working 64-bit computers in my house are both primary machines and I can only spare an old 32-bit laptop for testing a Windows preview. The developer preview is working better on this old contraption than Win7...

    Product Keys If I buy discs to upgrade my desktop computer to another flavor of Win7 but not through Anytime Upgrade, that should get me a new product key for my machine, correct? Does that free up the product key I used to install 7HP on that computer, to be used on my wife's laptop?

    Windows 7 Photo E-Mail in Windows Live Mail

    I just tried for the first time to send a photo attachment in WLM for Win7 using the Photo E-Mail option, and it failed -- even using my live.com e-mail account. Now I can't find where to set the default back to inline. If I can't send attachments I'm going to have to stop using WLM altogether.

    A very pleasant surprise Previous Windows versions I've used have almost always turned up with problems in the first week or so, but 7 has been very smooth. It's different from what I was using so there's been a learning curve, but that's been the case with every upgrade except maybe 95-to-98...
