My install of Windows RC had gotten buggy from my abuse, so I switched XP and my problems with internet got even worse. Then I installed Windows 7 Ultimate... and it works flawlessly. Granted I got a few new problems, but none of them are internet related.

I'm sorry to say that this has not fixed my problem. I'm considering buying a new ethernet card, any recommendations on cards that work in Windows 7? Mine is quite old, don't even think there's a Vista version of the drivers though I'm gonna check again anyway.

Thanks, I've disabled it. Now I'll just have to wait and see if it did make any difference.

I've seen you write this here and there, but could you please elaborate? How you do that, where can you find your services where that may or may not appear? Most of us are new to Windows 7 and could use some directions and more help. Thank you.
