Logging in and out didn't work, but restarting did! I don't know if it was the enabling and disabling of the adaptive brightness or that I had to update the screen adaptor intel, but it suddenly worked :) Thank you both so much!

Seems like both are already turned off :s

Out of nowhere (so without any sudden update or anything) my brightness fader stopped working. I can still slide it but it does not actually change the brightness. I need my laptop for work and without any other laptop to work on, this really gives me a headache to work with. I tried updating...
