Hey there.
Hmmm, I installed Windows 7 more than one time now from my USB stick without any problems whatsoever. And it only takes me 10-12 minutes to install it, it's awesome :)
Just one thing though: to start the installation from the USB stick you have to go to BIOS and set your "Hard Disk...
If any of you guys eventually get to run the game plz give some feedback regarding the game stability at the moment :)
I have the Enhanced Edition catching dust in a shelf because I couldn't bear the black screens/freezes the game had when I installed it some time ago :(
Hey there.
Been running Windows 7 RC x64 for around a week now and so far it's been working great.
But today when I started the pc the OS booted normally but when it got to the desktop it hanged. I could move the mouse around but the cursor was the standard "spinning circle" when it was over...
Did you try to set the Tages installer itself to run in Vista compat mode? Maybe is just the installer being hardcoded to Vista but once you pass that it should install ok
Hmmm, I also played that game (EE version) in Vista for a couple of days (uninstalled it due to too many crashes and black screens for my taste...) and haven't still tried it in W7. Nevertheless, since you say it plays fine for you in Vista, you could try running it in "Vista Compatibility...
Using "Avast! Home Edition 4.8" as resident AV/AS protection, "Comodo Internet Security Firewall 3.9" (with Defense+) as firewall/HIPS and "A-squared Free 4.5" as backup on-demand AV/AS scanner.
All three working great in my Windows 7 RC x64 ;)
Ok, since nobody replied and I really wanted to know about this issue I asked at Microsoft's TechNet and got an answer. So I decided to post it in case someone's also interested.

Hmmm, why you say that ? I'm running Windows 7 RC (7100) x64 with Firefox 3.0.10 and both the Adobe Reader and Link Removed plug-ins and they work great !
Hey there.
I have question about Windows 7.
Consider "Program X". What's the difference between the next two options:
A) Running "Program X" in "Windows XP (SP3) Compatibility Mode" (right-click the program -> properties -> compatibility -> run this program as "Windows XP (SP3)")
B)...
That's strange, i'm running W7 RC (7100) x64 with Firefox 3.0.10 and Adobe Reader 9.1 (no compat modes on anything) and i could see all PDFs I opened until now in the browser just fine, including the one posted above.
Glad it's working fine for me ofc but it's weird why you guys are having...
I'm also a Comodo Internet Security user and experienced the same issue with the firewall. But don't worry because Comodo is releasing the new 3.9 version of CIS tomorrow which will be compatible with Windows 7.
