Thanks Elmer you made that "light" go on in my head. Since I am using my work PC I was using "Private Browsing" with FF 8, as soon as I turned it off all is well. It is weird that this ONLY started with FF8, I had the same settings on FF7

Sorry if this had already been addressed. Using Firefox 8 I cannot log into this forum, I type using my user name and password and it seems to be logging on but then kicks me back to the (non member) main page. Anyone else having this problem using Firefox 8?

I think what davehc might be saying in AVG MIGHT be what is preventing programs from downloading. I myself have had this problem using AVG (which I no longer use) on my old XP systems. It's worth a shot you can always reinstall AVG.

Most here (including myself) will tell you to just stay away from registry cleaners. The forums does promote Registry Booster and CCleaner is also probably one of the "safest" reg cleaners if you do feel the need.

Can you also give us the make and model of the printer? Do also have Win 7 drivers installed for the printer?

Rethinking it might also be you are running your games on to high of settings. I am not a PC gamer but I know you can lower the game settings on most games. Maybe lowering these will help.

Can you tell if all your fans are working correctly? Kinda of sounds like a heat issue. sounds dumb but if you can open the case and point a small desk fan towards the PC and try doing the same thing that causes the freezes

No problem actually really works well. Posting right now from my phone and i know nothing on code/how to make apps but this app is really speedy and i am on a Sansung Moment with an older Android version
