Hello. I just replaced my E5200 dual core (2.5GHz) with a C2Duo E6420 (2.13GHz). My WEI dropped from 6.0 to 5.4 for the CPU, and from 6.0 to 5.3 for the RAM (4GB). I was under the impression that the core 2 duo was superior to the dual core. Am I wrong?
Hello! I would think that the master boot record is on the old hdd with XP. If you just want 7 you'll have to reinstall 7, although someone with more expreience might have a fix to install the mbr on the 7 hdd. Good luck! :)
Hello! I would backup all my files (music, documents, photos, etc.). Then run the Ubuntu live CD, format the hard drive to NTFS, then try the Win 7 install again. All should be well. I would also think that the Win 7 install would give you "Drive Options" that would allow you to delete the...
