Has anyone been able to get Battlefield 2142 to work? I can't even get it to run on vista 64bit. it lets me install and update everything but connecting to a game is resaults in a hardlock.

Dawn of War + all expansions are running great. I was not able to play Battlefield 2142 on Vista 64 so I thought I'd give it a go on W7 to see if I get the same issue.

Do you have the copy from Fileplanet or the actual software? Cause I'm just thinking its the file. I am always getting files from fileplanet that are just straight up broken.

Right click your desktop > Personalize > Change Desktop Icons. Simply check off what you want removed from you're desktop. No need to install hacks or mess with that lame registry.
