I backed up my PC before I installed Win 8. I haven't installed any windows "apps" from their store. I should only need to back up the users folders correct?

What will the refresh do? Will I lose anything? What if I do reinstall then I think I will lose everything correct? Thanks

I have a Tile for Google Chrome and when I click on it I was hoping just Google Chrome will launch. Instead when I click on Chrome tile I get the desktop as if I have Windows 7 then Chrome launches. This takes up a lot of unnecessary time. Any help greatly appreciated.
