A secure cloud infrastructure connects teams, data centers, and automated workflows in a modern office.
Nutanix is expanding its Elevate Partner Program for fiscal 2027, adding formal participation for systems integrators and incentives spanning new customers, account expansion, renewals and referrals. Its November 5 announcement also introduces Powered by Nutanix: Verified Services.

For enterprise IT buyers, the important question is not simply whether partners earn more. It is whether those incentives translate into better deployment advice and sustained support—or another round of cross-selling.

A secure cloud infrastructure connects teams, data centers, and automated workflows in a modern office. More emphasis on what happens after the sale

Nutanix’s program outlines seven routes to partner benefits:

  • Land: Qualifying new-customer transactions.
  • Expand: Additional portfolio sales within existing accounts.
  • Grow: Qualifying year-over-year business growth.
  • Reward: Approved incentives for eligible sales and technical staff.
  • Retain: Qualifying on-time renewals.
  • Refer: Eligible integrator and consulting referrals.
  • Differentiate: Verified services capabilities and potential access to earned Business Development Funds.

Eligibility, exclusions, transaction requirements and regional availability apply.

There is an important distinction behind the systems-integrator expansion. In CRN’s interview, Christian Goffi, Nutanix’s vice president of Americas ecosystem sales, explained that integrators already worked with the company, but their participation had been less formally structured. Particularly in the Americas, they could influence a purchase without handling the transaction—making conventional sales incentives a poor fit.

The practical change is recognition of advisory influence, not the sudden arrival of integrators in Nutanix deployments.

Funding details add substance—but not universal eligibility

CRN’s interview supplies a financial detail absent from the brief announcement: Goffi described earned Business Development Funds of 1 percent of total contract value sales for Premier-level partners. He said this funding supplements existing benefits rather than replacing performance-based rebates. That is a leadership description, not a substitute for an individual partner’s applicable terms.

For customers, the distinction matters: partner business-development funding is not an advertised customer discount.

Verified Services lets eligible partners demonstrate approved capabilities and potentially access earned funding for qualifying marketing activity. Nutanix’s overview does not spell out verification criteria.

A sensible procurement response is to ask what the recognition covers in the proposed engagement. Treat it as a starting point for evaluating expertise, not a replacement for delivery references and contractual responsibilities.

Infrastructure flexibility still has boundaries

Nutanix also highlights selected external-storage configurations involving Dell, Everpure and NetApp, plus supported Nutanix Cloud Clusters workloads across on-premises infrastructure, AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. These are configuration-dependent capabilities, not blanket compatibility promises or newly announced releases in this program update.

For an infrastructure team considering modernization, the useful follow-up is specific: ask the partner to document the supported storage configuration and workload placement behind its proposal. “Preserve existing investment” should become a verified design requirement—not just a reassuring slide.

Deal Coach remains a planned capability

Nutanix plans AI-powered Deal Coach functionality through Partner Central, alongside customer-authorized visibility into selected environment-health, adoption and lifecycle signals. Goffi told CRN that the expected launch window is the second half of Nutanix’s fiscal year, describing telemetry-informed assistance for partner conversations. Neither account establishes general availability.

Before authorizing visibility, customers should ask what information is shared, who can access it and how authorization can be withdrawn.

The overall direction is clear: Nutanix wants partners involved beyond the initial purchase. The buyer’s test should remain equally clear—whether the resulting proposal improves the environment, rather than merely expanding the invoice.
