The short version
- Headliner: Konami announced that Castlevania: Belmont's Curse launches on October 15, 2026.
- Xbox Wire's own weekly roundup covers games coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC and Game Pass. It also warns that release dates are subject to change.
- The slate is not a Game Pass list. Only some titles carry a Game Pass label. Others carry Xbox Play Anywhere or Smart Delivery, and some carry no label at all.
Reading the labels
Xbox Wire's listings use different tags, and they mean different things.
- Game Pass: the listing shows the game in the service. Per Xbox Wire's listings, that covers Deep Dish Dungeon, Valor Mortis, Bluey's Happy Snaps, Chained Beasts and Beyond These Stars. Nothing in the listings says which tier each one sits in, so check your own plan before you count on it.
- Xbox Play Anywhere: one purchase is meant to cover both Xbox consoles and Windows PC. For PC players that is the practical hook of the week.
- Smart Delivery: the console build is meant to install the version suited to your hardware. It does not mean the game also works on PC.
- No label: several titles have none, including Just Dance: Decades of Hits, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea and Tales of Eternia Remastered. Treat that as "not confirmed in the roundup", not as "absent".
A platform wrinkle applies here too. PlayDayOne's headings list many titles as "Xbox" only, while Xbox Wire's Play Anywhere tags suggest PC support for others. Check the store page for your platform before buying. Beyond These Stars is the opposite case: PlayDayOne lists it as PC only, but Xbox Wire shows it with a Game Pass label.
Monday, October 12
- Alpha Nomos (Xbox and PC, Play Anywhere): a rhythm-action roguelite where every instrument is a weapon and combat follows the music. You play as Cello.
- Colorbound (Xbox and PC, Play Anywhere): a palette-platformer about Anku reuniting his late grandfather's band. Xbox Wire lists it at $14.99.
Tuesday, October 13
- Deep Dish Dungeon (Game Pass, Play Anywhere): a dungeon crawler for solo play or up to two friends. It adds camp upgrades, crafting and cooking.
- Planet Zoo 2 (Play Anywhere, $49.99 listed): the zoo-sim sequel. Xbox Wire's description says it adds fully aquatic and flying species for the first time, plus customizable Wildlife Reserves.
- Valor Mortis (Game Pass, Play Anywhere): a soldier of Napoleon's army returns from the dead in a plague-ridden Europe. Combat leans on parries, dashes and finishers.
- Survivor Cells (Play Anywhere, $9.99 listed): a survival game where you defend against viruses and bacteria instead of running from them.
- Just Dance: Decades of Hits (Xbox): a decade-themed tracklist with a new Adventure Mode.
Wednesday, October 14
This is the busiest day by title count.
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2: a single-player sequel with a branching campaign. Xbox Wire shows $24.99 and a pre-order price of $22.49.

- Cleaning Simulator, Prison Run and Gun, Wolfsschanze – Operation Götterdämmerung: a cleaning sim, a 30-level prison-escape shooter, and a World War II shooter set at the Wolf's Lair. Wolfsschanze is listed at $14.99.
Thursday, October 15: Castlevania day
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is the week's marquee release.
- What it is: an exploration-based 2D action game developed jointly by Konami and Evil Empire, with advisory help from Motion Twin.
- Setting: Paris in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. You play Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor.
- Xbox angle: Xbox Wire marks it Xbox Play Anywhere and lists the standard edition at $29.99. The Xbox Store page for the game was not part of the material reviewed for this piece, so price and feature details for other editions should be checked there.
- Editions: per Konami, pre-orders for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam opened with the reveal of the Midnight Edition. That edition adds costumes, a sound-and-art gallery with 71 tracks and an in-game relic called Family's Grace. Pre-orders and early purchases also unlock an Alucard-style costume.
- Demo: ComicBook.com reported that a demo covers the opening chapter and lets players carry their save data into the final game. It was due October 1.
- Switch: Konami said the Nintendo Switch release date would be announced later, so Switch is not part of this launch.
The rest of Thursday's slate:
- Bluey's Happy Snaps (Game Pass, Smart Delivery, Play Anywhere): a photo adventure for one or two players.
- Chained Beasts (Game Pass, Play Anywhere): co-op gladiator roguelike for one to four players.
- DESOLUS (Smart Delivery, Play Anywhere): a first-person puzzle game built on time shifts and black holes.
- The Jackbox Party Pack 12 (Smart Delivery, Play Anywhere): five new games, and per the listing only one person needs to own the game. Players use their phones as controllers.
- 1×1 Street Football (Smart Delivery, Play Anywhere): an arcade street-soccer game listed at $9.99, with a $7.99 pre-order price.
- Floppy-Ear Chaos (Play Anywhere): a comedic roguelike brawler starring a furious rabbit.
- Cubic Cosmos: a roguelike card game listed at $17.99.
- Swarm Me: a top-down survival game listed at $6.99.
- Troll Slayer, Tingus Goose, Weekend Solitaire: Voyage: a pixel-art platformer, an idle game and a solitaire game.
- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer – Holiday Play Edition: a co-op family game listed at $39.99.
- Disney/Pixar Toy Story 3 Complete Edition and Toy Story: Retro Roundup! (both Smart Delivery): both from Atari. Retro Roundup bundles five games, including A Bug's Life and console and handheld versions of four early Toy Story titles.
Friday, October 16
- Beyond These Stars (Game Pass): a city builder set on the back of a space whale named Kewa.
- Tales of Eternia Remastered: a remaster of the JRPG set across the realms of Inferia and Celestia.
- Tenebris Somnia (Play Anywhere): a 2D retro survival-horror game with live-action cutscenes.
- Moto X (Smart Delivery, Play Anywhere): a motorcycle racer. The description says it was developed in 1994.
- Sproutrex: a pixel-art platformer with 28 handcrafted levels.
- Supercar Collection Simulator: a diecast-car shop sim with eight collectible series.
Practical tips
- Check the platform on the store page. The roundups differ on PC availability for some titles, so confirm before you pay.
- Treat "Game Pass" as a title-level label. It does not extend to the whole list, and the roundup does not say which tier covers each game.
- Watch the pre-order prices. Several titles show a lower pre-order price on Xbox Wire, such as Boltgun 2 and Ratatan. Prices can change, so confirm at checkout.
- Use Play Anywhere to save money. Titles with that tag are meant to cover both Xbox and Windows PC on one purchase.
- Try the Castlevania demo if you still have doubts. ComicBook.com reported its saves carry over to the full game.
Bottom line
The week is crowded but fairly thin on big names. Castlevania is the standout, with Planet Zoo 2, Boltgun 2 and Valor Mortis next. If you play across console and PC, the Play Anywhere and Game Pass labels will matter more than the genre. Release dates and prices in the roundups can still change before launch.
