What's reported
Windows Report says six games are on offer from Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 8. Those games are:
- Age of Wonders 4
- Anno 117: Pax Romana
- Deceive Inc.
- NBA 2K27
- Nowhere Prophet
- PAYDAY 3
The list comes from leaks, not from Xbox. Pure Xbox says it first knew of five games, thanks to Redditor Oliomono. It adds that they're usually on the money, but Xbox typically adds another one or two games to the final list. Pure Xbox flagged NBA 2K27 as a limited trial. It based that on the game's Xbox Store page appearing to offer a free trial.
I couldn't find an Xbox Wire post for this weekend's event. Until one appears, the six-game list, the access rules and the dates are all unconfirmed.
Dates and the PAYDAY 3 detail
Pure Xbox expects the games to be free to play until late on November 8, with a slight chance to go on longer. A Spanish-language report on the leak puts the end of the event at November 9.
PAYDAY 3's developers have published a firmer date for their own game. Their official site announces a free weekend between November 5th and November 9th. The Xbox Series X|S window listed there runs from November 5th 2026 17:00 CET to November 9th 2026 06:59 CET. That is the developer's own free weekend. It may not match the Free Play Days terms, but it suggests PAYDAY 3 access could run past Sunday in some time zones.
Who can play what
Free Play Days access varies by title, so a "free" label doesn't settle who qualifies. Recent official Xbox posts show the pattern:
- On October 29, Xbox said WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, Darkwood, Spirittea and EVERSPACE 2 needed Game Pass Ultimate, Premium or Essential. Dead by Daylight was free to all Xbox members on console. (The source for this one is the Xbox Wire post in the evidence packet, not the search results above.)
- On October 15, The Alters got a free three-hour timed trial for everyone. Crusader Kings III and several other games required Game Pass. NBA 2K27 had its own window, October 16 to 18.
For this weekend, Pure Xbox says you'll likely require some sort of Xbox Game Pass subscription for some of these games, while others are free to all. Don't assume any specific title is open to everyone until Xbox posts its list.
Reported discounts
Windows Report lists these Xbox Store prices as of writing. They are reported figures, not confirmed against Xbox's official event post, and prices can vary by region.
| Game | Regular | Reported sale | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Age of Wonders 4 | $49.99 | $24.99 | 50% |
| Anno 117: Pax Romana | $59.99 | $38.99 | 35% |
| Deceive Inc. | $19.99 | $1.99 | 90% |
| NBA 2K27 | $69.99 | $48.99 | 30% |
| Nowhere Prophet | $24.99 | $7.49 | 70% |
| PAYDAY 3 | $29.99 | $19.49 | 35% |
Xbox's own store page for Age of Wonders 4 shows the same pair of prices, $49.99 and $24.99. That agrees with the table for that one game. I didn't check the other five against Xbox's store.
One more data point on PAYDAY 3: the developer says its Xbox Series X|S sale runs from November 4th 2026 to November 18th 2026. That is a longer window than the free weekend.
How to install a Free Play Days game
These steps are from Xbox's recent official announcements:
- Open the game's own page on Xbox.com.
- Click through to the Microsoft Store. You must be signed in to see the install option tied to your Game Pass membership.
- On Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, open the Store's Subscriptions tab and scroll down to the Free Play Days collection.
- If you buy the game during the event, Xbox says you keep the Gamerscore and achievements you earned while playing.
Xbox also warns that discounts and title availability may vary by title and region.
What to do now
- Check the official Xbox Wire post before downloading. Windows Report says it will update its list when the official lineup goes live.
- Look at each game's Xbox Store page for the actual access rules, such as Game Pass required, free for all, or a timed trial.
- Treat the sale prices as subject to change, and compare them with the price shown in your own region.
Xbox usually adds a title or two to the final list. The six games above may therefore grow, and the access rules for each will only become clear once Xbox posts its official announcement.
