What the tracker actually is
Pure Xbox's guide was first published in June 2025 and was last modified on October 8, 2026. It lists announced Game Pass titles by date and platform, from January 6 through a December 1 entry. It also has December-only rows and a long "TBD" section that includes Manor Lords, Tropico 7, Witchbrook and Escape Academy 2. The author says it will be updated as more games are announced.
Two quirks matter if you plan around it:
- Tiers are inconsistent. Some rows say "XGP Premium," "XGP Essential" or "EA Play." Most just list platforms such as "Series X|S, PC, Cloud," so you can't tell which subscription level unlocks the game.
- Platform labels are shorthand. In a comment reply, the author explained that "Console" means Xbox One is confirmed or the guide lacks enough information to call a game Series X|S-only. That is the site author's convention, not an Xbox policy. Read "Console" as "more than Series X|S, or unclear."
The October check: Xbox Wire confirms the near-term rows
The October 7 Xbox Wire roundup is the official source for nine upcoming titles in the guide's October section. TrueAchievements notes that the wave spans the Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass tiers, and that eight of the nine are exclusive to Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Only Neon Abyss 2 is coming to Game Pass Premium.
Here is how the official dates and tiers line up with the tracker:
| Date | Game | Platforms (Xbox Wire) | Tiers (Xbox Wire) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 8 | Echo Weaver | Cloud, Series X|S, PC | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| Oct 8 | Forever Ago | Cloud, console, PC | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| Oct 8 | Neon Abyss 2 | Cloud, Series X|S, PC | Ultimate, Premium, PC Game Pass |
| Oct 13 | Battlefield 6 | Cloud, Series X|S, PC | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| Oct 13 | Deep Dish Dungeon | Cloud, Series X|S, PC | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| Oct 13 | Valor Mortis | Cloud, Series X|S, handheld, PC | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| Oct 15 | Bluey's Happy Snaps | Cloud, console, handheld, PC | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| Oct 15 | Chained Beasts | Cloud, Series X|S, PC | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
| Oct 16 | Beyond These Stars | PC | Ultimate, PC Game Pass |
The tracker's dates and platform lists match for all nine. The difference is what the tracker leaves out: which tier you need. That omission matters, because a Premium subscriber scanning the Pure Xbox table would see Battlefield 6 and Valor Mortis with no hint they are Ultimate/PC Game Pass only.
Details worth knowing
- Day-one labels are selective. Xbox Wire marks Echo Weaver, Forever Ago, Deep Dish Dungeon, Valor Mortis, Bluey's Happy Snaps, Chained Beasts and Beyond These Stars as "Available on day one." Neon Abyss 2 and Battlefield 6 don't carry that label. AllKeyShop reports that Neon Abyss 2 is making its console debut alongside its Game Pass arrival. That fits the guide author's point that "day one" can mean a platform debut rather than a first-ever release.
- Battlefield 6 includes EA Play benefits. Xbox Wire says EA Play members can unlock the Deployment Pack and the Season 5 EA Play Pack, and can earn recurring seasonal rewards. Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play plus 10% off eligible EA digital purchases.
- "Handheld" has a specific meaning. Xbox Wire's footnote says the label marks games optimized for handheld play. That applies to Valor Mortis and Bluey's Happy Snaps in this wave.
- PC-only is explicit. Beyond These Stars is listed for PC only, on Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
For PC players, a WindowsForum report on the same wave notes that Secure Boot is required on PC for Battlefield 6. That is a practical check before October 13 if your machine's firmware settings are unusual.
Departures the tracker doesn't show
A "what's coming" list is only half of the subscription picture. Xbox Wire's same post lists games leaving the library on October 15: A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma (Game Preview, PC), Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone. Xbox notes you can save on these games before they leave.
Two of those appear in Pure Xbox's 2026 roster as arrivals earlier in the year: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (listed April 2, XGP Premium) and Nova Roma (listed March 26, PC). The tracker records when games arrived but not that they would rotate out. So "announced for Game Pass in 2026" doesn't mean "available all year." If you started a long game from the list, check the leaving date before you commit.
Reading the rest of the list with caution
Only the October entries are corroborated here. I haven't verified the January–September rows, the November and December entries, or the TBD list against official announcements. Several other things could change them:
- Dates can move. Publishers delay games, and "TBD" rows have no date to move.
- Tiers differ. The same game can sit in different tiers depending on the platform and the time of announcement.
- Regional and account differences apply. The Click advises that availability varies by territory and plan, and that the Xbox app is the final check for your account.
- Wave overlap makes counts fuzzy. Outlets disagree on totals because some count the whole of October's first wave, including Keeper and Gears of War: E-Day, and others count only the nine titles from October 8–16. Compare lists carefully.
How to use a tracker like this
- Use it to spot interesting titles and rough dates.
- Open the official Xbox Wire post for the relevant wave to confirm tier, platform and day-one status.
- Check the Xbox app or PC Game Pass app for the version available to your account.
- Look at the "leaving" list in the same post before you start a long game.
Bottom line
Pure Xbox's guide is a convenient year-at-a-glance roster. Its October dates and platforms hold up against Xbox Wire. Its main limitation is that it often skips the subscription tier, and it can't tell you what is about to leave. For a quick plan, use the tracker. For a purchase or a Game Pass tier decision, verify against Xbox Wire first.
