I was wondering whether anyone could tell me why this happens?
I have a 1080i HD TV set, with a resolution of 1920 by 1080, and a 27" monitor with the same resolution.
I do see that inspite of the fact that both are the same pixel dimensions they are not the same aspect ratio.

I have a HTPC/file server with display problems. All my hardware is in my profile, so I won't repeat it other than to say it's an older 720p TV with a single HDMI input. It supports 720p (native resolution) and 1080i inputs on HDMI.
If I boot with just the TV plugged in via HDMI I never see...

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop wich uses the G965 chipset from Intel with x3100 video and it works pretty find except for the TV-OUT. No matter what I do, I cant send 1080i resolution to my HDTV. I'm using the COMPONENT CABLE adaptor that comes with the machine...
