About this tag
The 60Hz tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about display refresh rates, particularly in the context of Windows 10 and Windows 11. Users troubleshoot issues where monitors or TVs default to 30Hz instead of 60Hz, or where a video card outputs 60Hz to a higher-refresh-rate display. Topics include adjusting refresh rate settings in Windows, enabling hibernation and other tweaks to extend laptop battery life by lowering the refresh rate, and understanding how 60Hz content interacts with 120Hz or 240Hz displays. The tag reflects common user concerns about achieving the correct 60Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming and video playback.

I am running 4k AOC screen which should run at 60Hz ! Before upgrade was ok but now refresh rate is 30Hz and I cannot change it. Gaming is now very lumpy. Need to have correct refresh rate set.
Any help would be appreciated.
How do you get a tv that has a 240Hz refresh rate to use it? Every thing that comes out of my cable box is at 60Hz and blu-ray player is 24Hz. How does this work?
