I've been trying to Break W7 build 7022 -- for ALL the apps I use (even legacy XP stuff for which there are no known VISTA / W7 updates) Build 7022 works 100%.
Note this was an upgrade (XP===>VISTA ULTIMATE (32 Bit) ==>W7 Build 7022.
Ony issues are

Good News Build 7022 Visual Studio 2008 Works (32 Bit)
Hi everyone
Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition (includes Visual Basic, Visual C#, Visual C++, SQL server 2008 express edition. .NET 3.5, Visual Web developer 2008 SP1) ) all work flawlessly.
Note however I installed these on VISTA...

Another question for users of Build 7022.
On Build 7000 (X-32) vmware networking seemed to be broken -- on Bridged Networking you'd get message I/O overlap on vmnet0 - device will start disconnected. Same for vmnet8 (NAT).
This meant you would have problems on connecting to your LAN...
As of 7 pm last night, Build 7022.winmain.090115-1850 was leaked to the internet.
It's of the Release Candidate branch, and appears to have a build date of January 15th, 2009.
It's hotfix #850, meaning about 450 changes since the Beta (Hotfix 400).
Mind you, those changes probably aren't that...
