cable unplugged

About this tag
The cable unplugged tag covers issues where Windows reports a network cable is disconnected even when it is physically connected. Common causes include driver problems after a new Windows installation, incorrect network adapter settings, or hardware detection failures. Users often troubleshoot by reinstalling LAN drivers, adjusting duplex settings, or checking the network adapter status in Device Manager. The tag is relevant for Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, and may involve dual-boot configurations where the issue appears in one OS but not another. Solutions typically focus on driver compatibility and network adapter configuration.
