Greetings.
New to the forum. Not new to Windows.
For the past year, I've been using my personal laptop for work. I had two Office365 Profiles -- personal, and work.
I've deleted the work profile, and have scoured the Registry for every instance of my former employer's name, and have removed...

Help my keyboard is acting up, it is suddenly typing random letters like 'y' types y7, and 't' types t4. This happened when I was cleaning my keyboard while it was on, I don't know I broke my computer or pressed something. Sticky keys and key filters are off, I have reinstalled my keyboard...
3 year old printer has worked fine until recently. It started printing lines - voids - thru the words. I did a nozzle check - a cleaning - a deep cleaning - I then printed a test page and nothing printed at all except the image of a printer and the words, windows test page, at the top of the...
When I go into the "privacy and security" settings for chrome, an option for cleaning comes up - "cached images and files" - does anyone know what that includes? Is this an option that could result in deletion of too much stuff? I am always hesitant to do this part of the clean up for that...
I want to recount how 'Reset my PC' saved my *** recently. My misery started when I replaced a failing 10-year old Lexmark printer with a new Epson WF-4740 AIO. Long story short(er) I was unable to uninstall the Lexmark and made the mistake of trying to manually delete the Lexmark drivers and...
Does anyone know what those folders whose names are long sequences of hex numbers enclosed with brackets are used for? I have hundreds of them in my AppData directory and a hankering desire to remove them all! None of them appear to have any files in them.
Hi all,
Just a question; "register cleaning tools... Must have or useless?"
I've read several blogs and papers, so far there are two camps.. Witch one does your opinion subscribe to? And why?
My Windows folder in C drive is occupying 50gb of disk space. But the total space used by individual files in that folder adds up to 20gb. Please help me to remove that 30gb
I have searched the forums and Google, but have found nothing on my issue, so I hope someone else knows how to fix it. When I am clearing space by uninstalling programs and removing leftover files, the space goes up a little, but then it goes down next time I uninstall something. For example, I...
So long story short, my hard drive died on me so I installed a 1T SSD and got it up and running again. Couple days later it overheated twice. I wasn't doing anything that would require much processing. I only had a few tabs open in Fire Fox. The computer locked up and made a terrible noise from...

Hi All
Please forgive me if this is a bit of a silly question, but I've noticed how my windows laptop has gone so slow over time. I understand that this is due to files being saved and slowing everything down (is that right?)
As such, when I do an upgrade, will this clear out all the rubbish...
Hey Windowsforum memebers!
I am looking for a Microsoft Windows cleaning utility.
Not something like Ccleaner, but sort of a window with all the cleaning tools which are from Microsoft Windows itself.
I ran the windows MSRT and it kept on running, finally when it finished I viewed the report and there were thousands of bogus entries under win32, win64 & winNT. I believe they are associated with these two registration files but my system will not allow me to delete these items. Any advice...
This is rather worrying, today Malwarebytes finds a Trojan called Sathurbot however, when the computer reboots after cleaning, it's back in the icons folder.
also google isn't aware of it's existence:
Can anyone shed any light on this, much appreciated.

Often, when I open a File Explorer window, other minimized open programs with buttons on the taskbar will not come to the front when I click on the button. (I then need to minimize F.E. Alt-Esc doesn't do anything in this circumstance). This started happening suddenly, but a system restore did...
