About this tag
Copilot Notebooks in Microsoft 365 are evolving into a persistent AI workspace where users can ground responses in a growing range of reference sources. Recent additions include Markdown, TXT, RTF, CSV, TSV, Outlook emails, and Teams meetings, reducing the need to convert files before use. The feature is expanding to Copilot Chat users, while full Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses remain necessary for work-grounded access. A redesigned experience is rolling out for web and Android, and OneNote multimodal capture on Android will feed mixed audio, photo, and text input into notebooks. Administrators should consider licensing tiers and metered billing for Copilot Cowork.
