About this tag
The cpu power tag on WindowsForum.com covers practical discussion of how processor power specifications affect real PC builds, centered on the recurring confusion around TDP. The tagged content explains what TDP actually represents and why the single number on a cooler box, CPU box, or PSU calculator rarely tells the whole story. It digs into Intel's PBP and MTP ratings and AMD's PPT, and shows how misreading these figures can lead to an undersized power supply or an inadequate cooler. The focus is on sizing decisions for desktop systems, helping builders interpret vendor specs more accurately before choosing cooling and PSU hardware.
