About this tag
The data dashboards tag on WindowsForum.com gathers discussion of building refreshable, query-driven views over Windows data rather than static reports. A representative thread covers using Excel Power Query's folder connector to turn a Windows user folder into a refreshable file inventory, where files become rows and the workbook doubles as a dashboard, searchable index, and audit tool. The conversation also notes where the method can go wrong and separates documented behavior from the author's own experience. For Windows users working with Microsoft 365 tooling, this tag is about practical dashboard techniques for inspecting, searching, and auditing local file data.
