Ok, so my computer runs fine, no issues what-so-ever, excpet when I first turn it on. I Swear everyday I gotta run startup repair. And if I can actually get it to boot up, it'll work fine till I log in, in which I'll get the spinning circle over the task bar forever, and eventually it'll start...
I recently made a post about the sleep issue, but to rephrase, I was having trouble with my Acer Aspire 4810T sleeping when I closed the lid, but I managed to fix it by changing the properties for my wifi card so that it would not wake up the computer. The other day I downloaded a driver update...

Hello, I have a HP G60 418CA laptop. The laptop came with Vista Premium, but I upgraded it to Windows 7 professional. After I upgraded it, I noticed that every three four days, when starting the computer, it runs Disk Consistency Check. I am sure I didn't restart the computer improperly. And I...
Hello!

Hi,
Wether doing an Upgrade, or a Clean Install, they both freeze at the last step.
By freeze, I mean frozen, mouse doesn't move, no dots moving, no motion on the screen. The screen is like a picture.
I tried disabled USB devices through the BIOS, clean boots, copying the contents on to the...

Everyday i shut down my computer properly.
Each time I start it up again, it runs check disk . It's rather annoying since it takes about 10mins to complete before my computer finishes booting up.
Is this a windows 7 bug or is my HDD showing signs of hardware failure?
Thanks in advance...
Ok, I have found many examples of this but every solution I have read doesn't work for me, I'll start at the top in what steps I have taken to the current situation.
On installing Windows 7 it worked flawlessly, proceeded to install apps etc, that evening I turned off.
On login the next day no...

Hello.
I've installed W7 RC edition. But lately it have been running checkdisk at startup after a forced reboot (due to lockup or BSOD). And 2 times now it has deleted personal files like .mp3, .jpg, .mkv and stuff like that.
Never had the problem with the beta 7100 version, so I installed...

Hey everyone. Seem to have a problem. I shut down correctly each night. Every boot up scan disk runs (or tries to ). I am making sure I shut extra programs down such as my messengers and virus protections. What could be causing this? Little nerve racking. I am running W7 build 7100
I just created a new rig with a Athlon black 2.8 cpu, gigabyte MoBo 4gb of corsair ram.
The hard disk I'm using is a Maxtor SATA. I believe it has the S.M.A.R.t tech built in.
win7 keeps giving me a message that the Hard disk is going to fail. I ran a disk checked and it seemed fine. it did...

Well after just a day of using windows 7 I've got some classic windows slowdown symptoms. I'm thinking it's probably AVG 8.5 free thats doing it, but I run a chkdsk /f just to make sure. System starts booting, goes to chkdsk, does the countdown: "To skip disk checking, press any key within x...
