I have a new drive with a clean installation of windows 11 pro. Is there a way I can migrate my programs and files from the old disk with windows 11 home to the new drive without losing anything?

I'm up a gumtree without a paddle. I have been running around in circles for a week trying to get this solved.
I had migrated my old HDD with Windows 10 Pro on it over to a new machine, and a new SATA SSD drive. I used Macrium Reflect to image the drive over. This was an MBR booted system...

Robocopy is the built‑in "power tool" Windows 11 users should reach for when copying large folders, migrating drives, or building resilient backups — it resumes interrupted transfers, supports multi‑threaded copying, logs everything, and can be automated into scheduled tasks for repeatable...
The August cumulative for Windows 11 — identified as KB5063878 (OS Build 26100.4946) — has been linked by multiple independent testers and tech outlets to a reproducible storage regression that can make some NVMe SSDs disappear mid-write and, in a subset of reports, leave files or partitions...
Windows on the desktop still ships with three distinct ways to protect personal data and system state — the modern Windows Backup (OneDrive-backed), the long-lived File History incremental file versioning tool, and the legacy Backup and Restore (Windows 7) system-image facility — and choosing...

What happens if it is disabled? I have a perfectly working Acronis backup image of the entire drive, so do I need WRE at all? I love it that I can simply go back to all my updates, apps, and preferences reinstalled with my image. I am using Windows 10.
Hi Guys,
How to create image/clone of entire windows 10 to a .iso file, that can be uploaded on virtualbox?
MediaCreationTool is stuck on 0%.
What alternative software achieves this?
After I assemble an internal drive within the external enclosure with the cables are ready, do I create a simple volume, or just format or do both?
I am hoping to salvage my other relatively new HDD into a portable HDD to contain photos etc.
I would also like to image to this drive.
I am a Mac user, but at work I use Windows 7. How do Windows users clone one drive to another? Norton Ghost no longer exists and it was the software used to do such a task.
I tried to browse an image but after checking the box and getting a drive letter it did nothing like it used to. I have deleted all the XML files so that coud be the cause but it never use to be.
Can you help as I cannot contact macrium as I have the free version?

Hi If you aren't creating back up images of your OS, you should read this that I copied from a web page.
I like sharing these things, but I never know where to post them. If this is a appropriate thread and needs to be moved, please do so! This is so important for users to know about!
