Microsoft recently released an update kb3086255 which disables two old style DRM's Securom and Safedisc.
This means that any games still using this old style of Digital Rights Management will not work under Windows 10.
This is to address security concerns and if your truly desperate to play...

When i open it in wmp 12 though it says receiving the license and asks me to log in which i do, i then get a prompt sayingive logged...
Title basically says it all: WMP on my machine decided to stop playing my collection of DRM protected WMV files. And since WMP is the only player that can play back these files, my video collection has become basically useless.
And yes, all the files were purchased legally. Figure I'd post...
I've been reading some informative threads on Virtual PC etc, but still have not come to the conclusion as to which VM is best for my purposes. I have zero experience running a VM. My AMD64 bit APU is qualified. I installed Virtual PC and it appears that I must re-install from system DVD. Can...
I can no longer play my DRM protected music files in WMP. Each time I attempt to play a file, the Media Usage Rights Acquisition popup program fails to load the relicensing.od2.com website.
The DRM is working, because I downloaded a protected test file that played fine. I tried reinstalling...

I bought a new Nook HD 9" Tablet for my wife, so she can read and watch movies.
We have some of the newer BluRay movies with Digital Copies, she says her friend claims that the DRM protected movies cannot be moved to tablet or other devices. Then what can I do to play these movies?
After googling a question to how to change Itunes bought movies to drop onto my Kindle Fire HD - I know this video is DRM protected and need get rid of this protection first. Tried some converters, I’m quite frustrated, Can you tell me which program you used and can actually convert itune...

Hi
Can someone help me with a batch file that will delete the files in the c:/program Data/microsoft/windows/DRM folder on a Win 7 PC?
Thanks in advance.

An interesting article on CrunchGear blows the lid off of some interesting new marketing gimmick that, if continues, may place the Internet and Intel processor purchasers into an uproar:

I miss being able to watch videos in full screen on my t.v. (second monitor). In Vista and Windows 7 it works in terms of video, but the audio is not recognizable. Something to do with DRM? Anyway, I was wondering if I could load my XP video card driver into XP compatibility mode so I could...
You can read all of their propaganda here. I'm sure you'll find it either hilarious or as aggravating as I did. In response to this stupidity I wrote them an email. Would you like to read it?... Of course you bloody would :D
I just get so annoyed when people pull stunts like this.

At the moment I am trying to record a show and it won't record. Instead video just pauses and stutters. I am not sure if this has anything to do with it but PlayReady refuses to update. Since it is their DRM and I need it in order to watch or record protected content, I am thinking that is the...
A separate problem I have with audio in WIN7 is a large reduction in sound quality. Regardless of the lack of EQ-ing I mentioned in my other thread, my audio should still have a level of quality to it that just isn't there. Music encoded @ 320kb/s sounds like a poorly encoded 128kb/s.
I have...
