About this tag
The tag 'excessive' on WindowsForum.com is used in discussions about URLs or addresses that are unusually long and cause issues. In one example, a user reports that a link from Comcast's homepage, which redirects through multiple tracking and affiliate parameters, is so lengthy that it fails to open properly. The thread highlights how such excessive URLs can prevent web pages from loading, even when the destination is a legitimate site like Lowe's. This tag covers troubleshooting problems related to overly long web addresses, often involving redirect chains, tracking codes, or encoded parameters that break standard browser or system behavior.
Hi
I clicked on a link on my comcast home page about Tankless Water Heaters, but it wouldn't open, I've had that quite a bit lately.
Ok I took the Http off the front and now it shows...
This seems kind of excessive, like I said it wouldn't open on my computer but it is to someplace at Lowes...
