I attempted to create a soft symbolic link to a folder, but the link is not working.
In Explorer, the "keybrd_lib" link does not look like a folder (screen shot below).
When the link is double clicked, an "Open with" dialog opens.
Here is how I made the symlink from the command line, run as...

Last week my computer which is running Windows 7 stopped recognizing it. I received a bunch of weird errors from asking if I wanted to format the drive to the drive just disconnecting from the computer...
Hi
So, after a few years I decided to try Linux again. I chose Puppy Linux because it sounded nice, easy and fast. I made a bootable USB flash drive, booted from the USB and tested Puppy Linux. After the try-out I booted back to Windows and began experiencing some problems:
1. All the USB...

When I turn on the feature, "Always search file names and contents" my C drive completely fills all available disk space after doing a search. What's going on and how do I remedy this?
Recently I installed an additional case fan which ventilates directly onto my two hard drives. The temperature decreased from 41°C to 32°C what sounds to be a good thing at first.
The downside is that I encounter plenty of errors on one of these HDDs since the mentioned fan installation. More...
I will be tri-booting Linux (elementaryOS and Debian) and Windows 8 on a laptop for college. On Linux, you can use a seperate partition and mount it to the /home folder.
Is it possible to do this on Windows 8? to mount the partition at C:/Users, to where instead of having a folder there, a data...

Hey everyone,
I use Windows mainly as gaming machine. Therefore, my deep technical knowledge is mostly hypothetical and most often imaginary. Yet I am looking for something that may turn out as extremly complicated to handle, but maybe it'll work.
So, what I do want, I want to group my two hard...

I find it an extreme annoyance. I would like to find a file manager that "virtually" strips out the entire roster of about 30+ redundant and unnecessary folders, and simply leaves a minimalist file tree. I can create three or four sub-directories for my particular tasks without the insane...
Hi guys
I just reinstalled my Win 7, 2 days ago, only to find that now all my other partitions are Read Only. NP I thought, just untick the box and reset them, but some partitions are proving rather stubborn to my efforts. I've used Taken Ownership to undertake the process, and then unticked...
