About this tag
The ftp error tag on WindowsForum.com covers issues encountered when using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) on Windows systems. Discussions include problems with garbled file names when uploading files containing Japanese text, as well as broader connectivity issues where FTP uploads consume all available bandwidth, affecting other internet activities like web browsing, email, and streaming. Users have reported these errors on Windows 7 and other versions, often involving router configurations or network drivers such as KillerNIC. The tag is relevant for troubleshooting FTP-related errors, file transfer failures, and network performance degradation during uploads.
