My computer has fallen victim to the unidentified network problem.
My computer is a homebuilt desktop running Windows 7 64-Bit Home Premium. The problem has cropped up several times before, however I've always been able to fix it by "just" re-installing Windows (the upgrade option, not the...

I used the right-click mouse button to select "share with nobody" on a personal file. It did not ask for a password or anything else to allow myself in. Now the file is locked and denied excess to myself. What is the procedures to undo this? This is a home computer and I was just trying the...
Howdy all:
I've seen some threads elsewhere on this problem, but found nothing that I could follow to fix it. I cannot believe that Microsoft would sell an OS that will not allow a computer user to edit/save something as simple as a notepad document on his own computer. When I try to save a...

Can someone explain how technet works? I called them and asked the same question. A very helpful lady told me I could download an ISO of any of the MS software up to 10 times and that each ISO has 10 activation keys. That makes 100 copies for my own use of each of their software titles. Is...

I have recently installed the full 64 bit version of Windows 7 on to my home PC. Everything has gone smoothly for the first week or so but yesterday a strange problem started happening. Every 30 minutes(on the dot!) the speaker on my motherboard will give two, short beeps. This has been going on...
Hello enthusiasts,
I have a problem where any port I enable in the registry for Win7 RC Remote Desktop is useable for a few seconds until the Cryptography Service latches on to it!
It then becomes unuseable for remote desktop. This keeps happening no matter what I change the port to.
Has...

Hi all
I was reading the article on the RSS feed - W7 slipping in the Polls.
What a load of TOTAL non factual utter piece of Bovine Scatology.
For a start the number of downloads is NOTHING like the number of computers W7 is installed on -- I must be testing this on around 20 - 30 machines...

Hi guys
Is it just me on a Monday or have MS deliberately disabled RDP on Vista Home Premium X-64 -- If so this is zillions of steps backwards as most people I know usually want to connect to say a Home computer from work (or vice versa).

I have Win7 installed as dual boot on my home PC now and I have 1 problem.
I have a Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 mobo and on it a 2TB raid.
The raid shows up fine in Win7 and I can browse the file system etc, but, I can not write to it at all.
Any thoughts?
