I am running Windows 10 on a 2 processor, 4GB RAM, VM
Host is i7 w/ 8GB RAM.
Boot after entering P/W is basically instant.
General operation speed is mostly a matter of can I click fast enough to keep pace w/ it, as in WHOOOOSH!

Windows 8.1 on a VM w/ just 2Gigs Ram is faster, snappier & sites in IE11 loading quicker than the Windows 8 host machine and IE10.
Have, certainly, read heaps about 8.1 suggesting this sort of behavior can be expected
