lid sensor
About this tag
The lid sensor tag covers discussions about hardware sensors that detect when a laptop lid is closed or opened. In the available content, a user with a Panasonic CF-18 running Windows 7 reports that closing the lid causes interference from a PCMCIA card, which the system misinterprets as digitizer input. This leads to erratic cursor behavior and unintended clicks. The user asks whether a script could disable input controls when the lid sensor triggers, to prevent these issues. The tag is relevant for troubleshooting hardware-software interactions involving lid state detection on Windows systems.
