About this tag
The m.2 ssd storage tag on WindowsForum.com collects discussions where M.2 drives intersect with real-world PC and handheld setups. A recurring theme is USB-C docking, where an M.2 SSD enclosure can be combined with a dock that also serves as a desktop base for a handheld gaming PC and a multi-device charging point. The conversations stress that USB-C is only a connector, so actual performance depends on the host, dock, cable, and charger, and that USB-C should not be confused with Thunderbolt. Expect practical guidance on checking port capabilities and vendor documentation before buying or pairing M.2 storage hardware.
