Alright so prior to a few days ago, I was able to burn CDs with no problems using Nero 8. Suddenly though, Windows refuses to open ANY program that has the ability to burn a CD. I've tried Nero 8, 7, 6, Windows Media Player, CDBurnerXP, Roxio, etc. What's particularly weird about this too is...

Hi guys
This only works for W7 X-32.
A weird irritant is that you can't upgrade to Vista (and hence W7) directly from XP PRO (although you can from XP HOME --strange isn't it. Who can ever understand minds that think of this stuff and come out with BS DRM / regional codes AACS etc etc).

After installing and booting to installation dvd, I found that (after burning 5 iso disks) that the Nero program InCD caused installation to stop. Get removal tool from Nero and removed InCD. Installation went on without problems.
Shortly after installing Windows 7, my control panel began returning an error upon trying to open it.
Now, every time I try to access the control Panel, I get this:
"Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\DllHost.exe"
I press ok and get "COM Surrogate has stopped working"
