About this tag
The nonsxs tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about file corruption errors involving non-side-by-side (nonSxS) assemblies in Windows. In one thread, a user reports frozen desktop icons and a System File Checker (SFC) scan revealing a missing Microsoft-Windows-ieframe file with a nonSxS entry. This tag is relevant for troubleshooting Windows file integrity issues, particularly when SFC or DISM commands detect missing or corrupted nonSxS components. Topics may include repairing system files, resolving icon or Start Menu problems, and understanding assembly versioning in Windows.
