The property sheet in Windows Explorer is accessed by right-clicking a file or folder and selecting Properties. In Windows 7, users have reported that right-clicking a folder in the left pane (tree view) to open its property sheet can cause Explorer to crash and restart. This behavior appears specific to Windows 7 and may be related to how the operating system handles context menus in the navigation pane. The property sheet itself displays file attributes, security settings, and other metadata, but accessing it from the left pane in Windows 7 can trigger instability.
