Hi everyone,
I am happy to join the forums :)
I would like to format my ACER desktop, which has a WIN8 on it.
Afterwards, I'd have to reinstall the WIN8, and I assume that I'd need the License Key to reinstall it, right?
I have 2 questions please,
1. Could I use the same license key?
2. is...
My friend is getting a second ssd with higher capacity and I'd like to install windows 10 on it (he's on win7)
If I recall correctly the install process automatically installs on the same drive and doesn't ask you which drive you want to install on.
So is my only option to install win10 on a...

Hello I had a couple of questions regarding installing Windows either 8 or 7, any answers would be appreciated thanks.
My first question is, if I install Windows using the Windows CD will it automatically install the drivers for my laptop or will I have to do this manually?
My second question...
Anyone know how long we have to install 10 after it is downloaded? Can we not install it for a year or 2 and then put it in when we are selling the equipment? I will not install it now as I need Windows Media Center on 3 machines.
OK. I just built a new computer last month. Did the usuals. SSD for boot drive. 4TB worth of storage so little more than Win 7 on the boot drive. If the Win 10 upgrade hoses the boot drive it's no big deal to start again. Everything important is already on other drives.

So I installed the Windows 10 Technical Preview on a spare machine and I'm wondering; What will happen when Windows 10 is released? Will it just stay as a technical preview or upgrade to the full Windows 10? The answer might be pretty obvious, but I was just wondering.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Jim
Edit: OK, I am getting better at IE. Slow but steady progress.

Three weeks ago, on October 27, 2014, I posted a question on this forum (Windows 7 Software), with title: "IE11 fails to go to links".
It's still there.
Surprisingly, no one has replied.
If anyone has an idea I'd appreciate hearing from you.
Should it be in a different forum?
Okay, since this is very popular on forum websites. I decided to ask a few questions hoping for some answers
1. Is it true that Microsoft can't count? Why not release Windows 9
2. How is this going to be better then previous versions? I thought Windows 8 was horrible enough
3. There bringing...
