Hi, no matter what I put the files in "Large Icons" status, they go back to "Details" status after some time on their own.
I want them to stay as "Large Icons" permanently.
That only happens when I access my hard drives through Quick Access Toolbar.
My windows version is 1809.
Quick access contains the folders: Documents, Music, Pictures, Video
On the right side of the window, there is a Quick access search field. Entering a search will find matching files in 3 folders but not matching files in the Pictures folder.
If I navigate directly to the Pictures folder then...
I just installed an update for my computer and have this issue where there are extra quick selection links in my file explorer and they are blank. Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix this? I have scanned my computer for any viruses and it is clean. I am running 64 bit windows...
I really didn't expect this.
I had a 3tb drive that was partitioned into two smaller drives. I decided to dump both and bring the drive back into a full drive, obviously losing one drive letter.
The problem now, is I neglected to delete all the quick access shortcuts. I use these quite a bit...

I got accustomed to the "Group by" and "Sort by" features from Quick Access pretty quickly after upgrading to Windows 10. Recently, however, both group and sort features have greyed out and have zero effect no matter the folder view I'm in (details, content, etc.)
Has this happened to anyone else?
More and more of our users are storing their files in more and more places. Whether that’s in cloud locations like OneDrive and Dropbox at home, or across network shares, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint at work, the problems introduced are the same – it gets harder to access those files...
Just to add to this, regarding Search; yes, one can go through Charms & using his example begin typing N-O... once you then click on Notepad, it appears back on Desktop. But, it is, also, not necessary or the only way, to go via Charms... WinQ (all Applications), WinW (Settings) & WinF (Files)...

Hi all,
While using Windows XP, I used TweakUI to get the directories I frequently used with a minimum of fuss. The default options just didn't cut for me.
At first, I thought the Libraries feature would be useful on Windows 7 but in my experience, they're more trouble than they're worth. What...

I was going to go find these when another Forum Member beat me to it, LOL. Thanks for that!! Anyway, being the big, handy help that they are, I feel they should be a Sticky, though, not just sure in what section of our W8 Forum. Nor can I find or recall where his entry was or in what thread...

Hi all,
I'm just wondering how I quickly get to see my desktop when I have a few programs open? My old system had a desktop icon on the bottom task bar thingie, but this one doesn't appear to have one. (All this minimizing is going to give me RSI:))
cheers, Toni
