About this tag
The remnants tag on WindowsForum.com covers leftover files, folders, and registry entries that persist after uninstalling software or cleaning up malware. Common scenarios include OneDrive remnants after uninstall, Logitech SetPoint registry leftovers, and temporary files from Windows upgrades that can be removed with Disk Cleanup. Users also discuss stubborn desktop items that cannot be deleted, browser hijack remnants from infections like Exploit:Java/CVE-2013-1493, and compatibility issues possibly caused by remnants of previous operating systems. The tag focuses on practical troubleshooting for removing these leftovers safely.
When I reinstalled os (factory reset win10), it loaded this mess again into my pc, which I don't want. I did manage to "uninstall" it, but the remnants are still there. I'm especially bothered by the confusion of the normal desktop with this one, which is in the c:\users\name\OneDrive\Desktop...
Hello ya'll. I have uninstalled Setpoint Software with Advanced Uninstaller but of course, checking through the Registry, I do find at least one remnant of it still.
I'll post a screenshot of what I mean. I need to know if I should delete the whole folder or just the stuff within the folder...

I'm getting the following notice, which I deny, as I think it is asking to delete a vital Windows command.
cmd.exe / o/D /c del c:/users/me/appdaata/local/temp/O.del
in my temp...
