About this tag
The research libraries tag on WindowsForum.com follows how Windows users and Microsoft 365 administrators manage scholarly collections and reference databases. A recurring theme is Zotero, including local AI assistants that query a Zotero library, shared Zotero-aware services, and Microsoft Copilot working from copies of research documents. Discussion centers on what each system can actually retrieve and what access it requires, plus the practical warning that exposing papers through OneDrive is not the same as granting a tool genuine library access. The tag suits readers weighing retrieval quality, storage location, and access boundaries for research libraries on Windows.
